After a short introduction, you’re thrust straight into the first night of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit and left to fend for yourself against Spring Bonnie. The night begins at Oswald’s House, but you’ll also have to head out into the town to make it to the next day.

FNAF Into the Pit Night One: Oswald’s House
Since Oswald’s Dad is missing, the first objective of Night One is to call Mom. Oswald remembers that his Dad always keeps his cell phone at home, so leave Oswald’s Room and go next door to the Master Bedroom to start the night for real.
Spring Bonnie will awaken as soon as you enter the Master Bedroom. Then, it’s time for the noise tutorial. You can interact with various objects in the environment to create loud noises that will distract the animatronic. The sewing machine on the dresser is a perfect example. Turn it on and then hide in the wardrobe until Spring Bonnie leaves the room.
Where to get Dad’s Phone
With the animatronic out of the way, go back into the Master Bedroom and grab the Phone from the nightstand on the right. You can use the Phone to dial any phone numbers that you come across during your playthrough, but it’s an old one so you’ll have to remember them and manually type everything in each time.
How to dial Mom’s number
Oswald doesn’t remember his mom’s phone number so he can’t make the call yet. It’s up to you to find the number somewhere in the house. Oswald’s mom’s phone number can be found on the fridge in the Kitchen, which is just across the hallway from the Master Bedroom. It’s 555-5683.
Spring Bonnie is patrolling throughout the house at this point, however, so make sure to run and hide if you get spotted. As long as you break line of sight by entering another room, your hiding spot will successfully conceal you. Each hiding spot has unique minigames like leaning side to side or swatting spiders away to avoid detection, though, and failing these will result in a jumpscare and a game over.
Oswald’s mom takes a while to arrive, so just sit tight and avoid Spring Bonnie in the meantime. Once she gets home, make your way to the Living Room. It’s safe for now, so don’t worry about being quiet. Once you meet her in the Living Room, you’ll be sent back to bed.
How to find a way to escape Oswald’s House
Oswald needs to get back to the Ball Pit at the Pizzeria, so you need to find a way out of the house.
There are three ways to escape Oswald’s house during the first night of Into the Pit. The first and fastest method is to just walk out the front door. The second method is to use a ladder to climb through a window in the Basement. The third method is to use a rope to climb out of a window in the Attic.
Front door escape
If you use the Living Room route, all you have to worry about is avoiding Spring Bonnie. The other two exits aren’t guarded as heavily, but they require special items to access. The front door is as straightforward as they come. We recommend activating a distraction in the Dining Room or Hallway to draw Spring Bonnie’s attention and then making a dash for the front door as fast as you can.
Basement window escape
To escape from the Basement, you need to find a ladder that will let Oswald reach the open window. The ladder is in the Attic, which is accessed by pulling a string hanging from the ceiling in Hallway 1.
A Freddy Mask will fall down from the Attic when you open the door, so don’t forget to grab it. It comes in handy later. There are also numbers for the plumber and mechanic in the phone book on the table, but these aren’t helpful.
The ladder is sitting next to the Attic window. You can pick it up, but it doesn’t fit in your pockets like normal items. You have to drag the ladder all the way down to the basement, and it’s loud. Spring Bonnie will be drawn to your position as you move throughout the house, so be prepared to drop it and hide if you see a door shaking. Once you make it to the Basement, place the ladder at the window and climb out to your freedom.
Attic window escape
If you want to escape through the Attic, then you’ll have to make your way to the Basement since that’s where the Rope is. It’s hanging on the shelf in the middle of the room. Thankfully, you don’t have to drag it like the ladder. Just head back to the Attic once you have it and then interact with the window to climb to safety.

FNAF Into the Pit Night One: Pizzeria
After escaping the house, your next stop is the Pizzeria. Head inside and go all the way back to the Ball Pit to travel back to 1985 and continue your quest. As soon as you arrive, grab the bunch of Wooden Balls to the left of the pit before venturing out to the Dining Area.
Where to find the Screwdriver
When you enter the Dining Area, you’ll find a kid stuck in a springlock suit. To get him out, you’ll need a Screwdriver to loosen the bolts. There’s a Token on the ground to his left, by the way. You can also go all the way to the left to the Entrance to find another Token, too.
To continue the story, go all the way to the right until you reach the Backstage area. Pick up Dad’s Wallet from the ground. Then, investigate the locked door that leads to the Basement. Attempt to open it and Oswald will mention that Jeff might have the key. It’s time to take another trip through time in the Ball Pit.
Go back to the present day via the Ball Pit and then return to Jeff at the Pizzeria Entrance. He’ll give you the Basement Key if you agree to take out the trash for him. It’s dark out, though, so he gives you a Flashlight. You can use Batteries to recharge this, so keep an eye out for them as you explore.
To take out the trash for Jeff, exit the Pizzeria and head to The Mill. When you get there, collect the Battery on the floor. Then, use the Bag of Trash on the dumpster. Don’t leave just yet, though. Continue left and grab the Puzzle Matrix and Rat Trap before you return to Jeff.
Once you get the key from Jeff, it’s time to use the Ball Pit to travel back to 1985. Before you travel back, however, check out the Basement in the present day to find an extra Battery. Once you’re back at Freddy’s head Backstage and unlock the Basement.
There’s a scary animatronic in the Basement, but it’s not active. Just go behind it and grab the Screwdriver. Check out the shelving along the northern wall to find the Token Slot before you leave, too. Return to the trapped kid with the Screwdriver to continue the story. This will end the night, though, so make sure you’ve grabbed everything you need before doing so.
After using the Screwdriver to free the kid, Spring Bonnie will jump out of the nearby door and chase you down. The only way to get away is via the Ball Pit, so turn right and make your way back to the present day to escape. Once you jump in the Ball Pit, the second day will begin. Congratulations on surviving your first night at Freddy’s!
Secret ending: See ya, Dad
There’s a secret ending available during the Pizzeria section of Night One. While in 1985, go to the Entrance and interact with the front door. Oswald will ask if he should just leave. It turns out, you can! If you interact with the door a second time, Oswald will escape the Pizzeria and run off into the night, abandoning his father.
