Fans of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising have petitioned Codemasters to implement a dedicated server patch.Currently, the PC version of the game does not allow users to setup dedicated servers when playing online, which is causing some concern among the community.A thread in the game’s official forums petitions the developer to add dedicated server support in a patch and is quickly gaining momentum.“Now, before you lock this thread without reading it, I’m trying to bring the community together more so than break down Codemasters,” said the OP, Phasmantis.

“A lot of people want to play this game, but there’s [sic] big barriers right now that are stopping people from buying the game.”

“Naturally I vote yes,” said another supporter.

“Youre [sic] looking at a lagfest otherwise, and the game will eventually be dropped from consideration in e-sport leagues etc due to the difficulty of finding or obtaining quality practice servers.”This is really a huge issue CM. I can understand if dedicated servers have been looked over until now, but it is really in your best interest to patch it in ASAP.”We’ve spoken to a source at Codemasters who said they do not anticipate any online problems once the game launches later this week.Check out our latest co-op war diary and competition.
