Since the early days of Fortnite, players have been able to get their hands on various, and oftentimes pricey, cosmetics. You can unlock a variety of unique looks through the Battle Pass or by purchasing them through the in-game store. Since then, cosmetic options have further evolved with the introduction of the Fortnite Crew subscription. If you have played Fortnite for a long time, it is likely that you have a large collection of skins, emotes, and more by now. And if you’ve ever wondered what that all adds up to, you might find this idea interesting. One fan site has created a tool that shows the value of the different cosmetics in your Fortnite locker.
Until recently, you could find out the value of your locker through the website Fortnite.gg. However, it required you to sign in to your Epic Games account in order to collect the relevant information. While the creator had no ill intent in offering the feature, it unsurprisingly didn’t go over well with Epic Games due to the obvious security risks. As such, the website has temporarily removed the sign in feature and is now trying to work out a solution with Epic Games.
The creator of Fortnite.gg promises that no accounts have been compromised, but it’s unclear if Epic will give the creator the okay to bring the sign in feature back online. The tool is certainly a unique idea, and many Fortnite players are likely curious to see how the price of their collection stacks up.
How many V-Bucks have you spent?
However, the concept for Fortnite.gg also raises the question of whether Epic wants players to think about money spent at all. While some may see their collections as sources of pride and status, others may feel their stomachs turn over. Those skins aren’t cheap after all, and the transactions certainly add up over time.
