In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the player will mostly receive a notification of a World Intel event nearby. One event that doesn’t notify the player is Lifesprings, which are well hidden and require a little more exploration.

Players can find Lifesprings in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth by listening for an owl and then following it. Following the colored owl will lead you to its habitat, next to a Lifespring. The image below shows an example of the red owl next to the red arrow. Each region has a different colored owl.

The good news is that it’s hard to miss when an owl is nearby, as the noise it makes is very clear and loud. Just remember to always be listening for a “hoot” of an owl. I recommend having your volume on at a reasonable level.

After following the red owl to the Lifespring, you will instantly notice one thing about it — tons of materials surround it. This makes it clear that finding Lifesprings is a great way to farm for materials for the Item Transmuter and other necessities.

Interacting with the Lifespring will put you up against a short quick time event where you must press the corresponding button when the line meets the circle. After completing the quick time event, the Lifespring will reward you with World Intel Data and information about the surrounding area.

To view the info gathered from the Lifespring, open your map and scroll over to the Chadley tab. Under the Chadley Tab, you get to see all Region Intel, Combat Assignments, Combat Simulator, and Materia Development.

Lifesprings aren’t the only activity you should focus on completing during your Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth journey. You should also make it your goal to search for Moogle Emporiums, a great way to acquire SP fast.
