File digging in Borderlands 2 reveals more ‘Sir Hammerlock’ DLC details

A dedicated sleuth calling himself ‘MikeTheInfidel’ over at Reddit has been digging around file updates for Borderlands 2 (just as he did before with the ‘Campaign of Carnage’ DLC) and appears to have unearthed some juicy bits and pieces about the upcoming add-on, ‘Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt’.

According to this chap’s investigations, the Sir Hammerlock DLC will feature at least 12 side missions and five longer “story” missions, a new head and skin for each class, a ‘fanboat’ vehicle, a new (swampy-jungle) continent named Aegrus, and plenty of new enemies.

Here’s the uncovered DLC blurb for Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt:

“Danger! Excitement! Mustaches! It’s time for another episode of Vault Hunter Adventures, featuring Sir Hammerlock! In this week’s tale, our hard-boiled heroes travel to the savage continent of Aegrus! Their goal? To uncover the most exotic creatures Pandora has to offer, and give ’em the old one-two!”

That’s not all, however.

Details of a further update have also been found (one code-named ‘Gardenia’). This add-on will apparently contain three customisation packs for each of the existing classes; 30 new customisation options in total. It’s not clear, says Mike, whether these packs will “be purchasable, unlockable through gameplay, or unlockable through Shift.”
