FIFA 11’s Ultimate Team is poised to get slightly more ultimate (if that’s even possible,) as EA announces an update promising ‘over 50’ improvements.
Two new features – Play A Friend Challenge and Friends Leaderboards – have also been added to the game mode. The former allows you to challenge a CPU-controlled version of a friend’s ultimate team, so you can thrash it 4-0 while he or she is offline and cackle. The latter provides an option for personalised leaderboards.
Those fifty other improvements aren’t spelled out individually, but EA claims they were “included based on the feedback from the FIFA community.” A few of the changes mentioned are an easier way to track auctions, power passing assistance being off by default in online matches and “a number of general stability improvements.”
The update is available to download now on Xbox 360 and PS3, unless you’re in Asia in which case they’ll be available from 24 February.
