Compared to the previous 6.5 mini-patches, 6.55 has the fewest new items so far, but also some of the most fun in the saga thus far. Here are all of the new items in FFXIV patch 6.55.
All new items in FFXIV patch 6.55
- There are no new obtainable glamour items, but the Manderville relic weapons are up to the final stage, capping out at simply being ‘Mandervillous’. They also have their replica versions.
- No new minions were added, but there is a single new mount: The UFO, obtained from the new batch of Hildibrand quests.
- One new Orchestrion roll: A Gentleman To Walk With Me, a reward from the Hildibrand questline.
- Two new Triple Triad cards: Asura, dropped from the new trial, and PuPu, purchased for 5,454 MGP from any of the card vendors in the Gold Saucer.
- A new Chocobo Barding, Wayfarer’s Barding, rewarded from Tataru’s Grand Endeavor questline.
- There’s also the Tataru’s Bespoke Framer’s Kit from the same questline for your Adventurer Plate.
- A single new emote, Ballroom Etiquette – The Lop Hop, awarded for completing the new Allied Tribal questline. Yay for another dance emote!

However, the real star of the show goes to some of the furniture items added in this mini-patch. Just take a look at some of these with me:
For outdoor furnishings, we have the Imitation Magitek Repair Station, in both Wall and Floor unit form. Each is a level 90 Armorer recipe. Perfectly suitable if you want your exterior to look straight out of Garlemald for a theme. But while neat additions, these two are nothing compared to the star of the article:
The low poly grapes are back, and realer than ever
Labyrinthos Grape Lamppost, a testament to the fact Square Enix remembers the antics its community gets up to. If you haven’t been playing since the release of base Endwalker, you may not get why this is so monumentously funny, but allow me to explain.
Labyrinthos is one of the Endwalker-added maps, containing an area with various fruits growing in proximity. There are lemon trees, orange trees, and some grapevines. The grape clusters were accidentally rendered with low polygons, leading to them having an awkward, blocky, octahedron shape. When these were soon patched out for an improved graphical update, the community mourned the loss of the low poly grapes and made rounds on the internet jokingly demanding them back, to the point Square Enix produced physical merchandise at one point.
The item itself is a furnishing design contest winner. But by selecting this design to win and implement, they’ve finally given us what we wanted and brought back the grapes at last. The description for the furnishing item reads: “Seeking to make grapes more transportable, a researcher at Meryall Agronomics is rumored to have produced a variety that grew in blocky clusters. Although complaints that they looked unappetizing led to a new strain with rounder edges, the original was regarded fondly by some, and so it was immortalized in the form of this lamppost.” So not only do we have them back, but the meme has been forever canonized in the lore of FFXIV. You can make the grape lamppost yourself with a new level 90 Alchemist recipe. The grapes are also dyeable if you prefer red low poly grapes, or so on.
Oh, right, there are also indoor furnishing items.
Indoor furnishings for 6.55
Nursery Canopy, a 90 Weaver recipe, for if you’re looking for something a different level of extra than the Marble Alcove Bed.
Hyper Hustle Trophy, a reward for completing the Allied Tribal quest.
And finally, the Korpokkur Moss Ball, because they can’t resist giving us more cute Korpokkur items. Make it yourself with a level 90 Alchemist recipe.
Those are all the FFXIV new items for patch 6.55. What do you want to get first?
