FFXIV 7.0 crafting preparations

The 7.0 update for Final Fantasy XIV brings a slew of updates, some of them graphical, others like a brand-new limited job are releasing in a later 7.x patch. But before we get to that, we must ensure our crafters are at the max level.

If you’ve been keeping up with the post-patch content of Endwalker, you should be fully geared all the way to lvl 100. However, if you’re like me and took a break in between expansions you’ll have the option of two gear sets you can use. Along with gear, make sure you use Revised Survival Manuals for an XP boost along with high-quality food like Tsai tou Vounou or Rroneek Steak for XP and stat bonuses.

The first and probably easiest gear set to get is the Afflatus purple scrip gear. This item level 620 gear will ensure your crafting stats are up to snuff when it comes to leveling. This does require you to have at least 1150 purple scrips, but if you’re short on Gil as well, you’ll have a much easier time accumulating the former.

Alternatively, if you want to speed up your crafting a bit and have a decent amount of resources/Gil, you can opt to get the high-quality Indagator’s gear set. Choosing this gear will require you to pentameld each item, costing even more resources and Gil. Should you get your gear set fully melded, you’ll have the easiest time leveling to 100. Always remember to perform a trial synthesis with new macros, that way you don’t waste any resources.

FFXIV 7.0 crafting macros — Level 93 collectibles

All of the leveling crafting macros we show here today were posted to Twitter by VTuber Vivi. This macro is best used with level 93 collectible recipes but can work with other recipes around the same level. You’ll need about 20 crafts per collectible to get to level 100; an example of one of these items is the Rareified Banana Ponzecake for Culinarians. Our main focus when crafting these collectibles is making sure you hit maximum collectibility. The higher your collectibility rating, the more XP and scrips you’ll earn. With that out of the way, here is the FFXIV 7.0 crafting macro for all level 93 collectibles and recipes:

FFXIV 7.0 crafting macros — Level 95 collectibles

Once you reach level 95, you can ditch the previous collectible you were crafting for one of a higher level. Since we are working with new items with a higher difficulty, we’re going to implement a 2-part macro. The Rarefied Br’aaxskin Codex made by Alchemist is just our example recipe for this tier, but this macro applies to every level 95 collectible a crafter can make.

Let’s take a look at the FFXIV 7.0 crafting macro for all level 95 collectibles and recipes:

FFXIV 7.0 crafting macros — Level 100 collectibles

Now that we’ve gotten our crafter(s) of choice to 100, it’s time to start thinking about endgame crafting. You should be able to farm some scrips with your current level 90-93 gear, but you’ll need the right macro and stat items to help you along the way.

This macro will help you achieve maximum collectibility on level 100 collectibles, allowing you to earn orange scrips as fast as possible. Meal-wise, you’ll be restricted to using high-quality Jhinga Biryani along with a high-quality Cunning Draught potion for the best crafting results. What’s more, you’ll need to make sure at least a few of the items you’re using to craft are high quality themselves. This helps offset our lower level gear stats.

With that out of the way. here’s the FFXIV 7.0 crafting macro for level 100:
