The holiday season is upon us — so why not spend it the best way you know how? You know, with plants battling zombies. Electronic Arts has released a new patch for Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and it comes with a new holiday event, known as Feastivus.
What does Feastivus hold for Plants vs. Zombies?
With the new update, players will see some new Christmas decor in Giddy Park. These include snowdrifts, festive lights, and more. But the battles are anything but friendly, as players will need to fight through the Feastivus Prize Map to unlock goodies. From unlockable costumes to new, chill gestures and emotes, there’s a lot to uncover here.
On top of that, all players gain access to a special gift. Players will now be able to access a new map called Oozevoir!, which has Zombies trying to evict humans from their homes. Obviously, only the plants can stop them.
In addition to the holiday touches, Battle for Neighborville also features new Grandmaster Ranks. These allow character levels to bump up to 50 and will properly update with the Social Tab. In addition, Player Rank plates are a lot easier to read. It’s also easier to see Free-Roam Region Medals without cluttering the screen.
To further celebrate the occasion, EA has released a new trailer providing a glimpse at the Feastivus update. And it’s narrated by none other than the one and only Sir Patrick Stewart! That makes it worth the view in itself, because no one can deliver like him.
The full list of notes for the update are now available. The game should update automatically the next time players start the game. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can download it on EA Origin. Play in co-op and get into the holiday spirit of squashing zombies or plants!
