Fastest ways to gain Union Levels and EXP in Wuthering Waves

Level up fast to unlock new features.

Most of the content in Wuthering Waves is gated behind Union Level requirements, so you’ll need to explore the world and upgrade your characters before you can unlock co-op, endgame content, and more.

If you’ve played other gacha games like Genshin Impact, then you should already have a good idea of the things that raise your Union Level in Wuthering Waves. Even if you’re new to the genre, however, it’s a fairly straightforward process that just involves experiencing everything Wuthering Waves has to offer.

How to Gain Union Levels in Wuthering Waves

To gain Union EXP and raise your Union Level in Wuthering Waves, you just have to play the game. Defeating enemies, opening chests, and completing quests will net you Union EXP among other things.

The best ways to level up your Union Level are to complete your daily quests (located in the Guidebook), complete your Pioneer Podcast Battle Pass missions, spend Waveplates to challenge bosses and claim limited rewards, and complete optional quests found throughout the world.

The main storyline of Wuthering Waves also gives you huge chunks of Union EXP as you progress through it, but you’ll be level-gated and prevented from accessing new missions at various stages in the plot so you can’t rely on it. When you hit a roadblock, just start clearing your quest log and doing your daily chores until you reach a high enough level.

Best Wuthering Waves Union EXP Farm Methods

The best way to farm Union EXP in Wuthering Waves is to explore the world and raise your completion level. Defeating monsters to collect Echoes and opening chests by solving puzzles throughout the open world of Solaris-3 will get you small amounts of Union EXP here and there, but you’re really after the milestone rewards for each region.

Raising your completion level for each region will let you claim exploration progress rewards. These include Astrite and other rare materials as well as tons of Union EXP. You’ll also come across a bunch of Sonance Caskets as you explore in Wuthering Waves, and you can trade these in for even more rewards and EXP. You’d be surprised at how fast you level up just by running around and completing minor activities while searching for rare collectibles along the way.

If you’re a goal-oriented player, though, then side quests may be a better route for you. Each mission in your quest log will reward you with hundreds or even thousands of Union EXP, especially the companion quests highlighted in purple. They might take a while longer than exploration, but the rewards are more than worth it. Ultimately, a mixture of quests and exploration is the best way to level up fast in Wuthering Waves, especially since you should also be working on other upgrades in addition to your Union Level like increasing your stamina cap.
