Another grenade launcher enters the game! Here is the fastest way to complete the Patience and Forbearance quest in Destiny 2: Into the Light.
Destiny 2: Fastest way to complete the Patience and Forbearance quest
Let’s be honest, we have seen a decent amount of iterations of the Forbearance, but since we can’t have “too many” of those, we now have the Brave version of this grenade launcher, which is historically one of the most used grenade launchers in the game. Along the Hammerhead, the Forbearance launched as part of the third wave of Into the Light content for Destiny 2, and its quest – Patience and Forbearance – will have you complete one of the two objectives below:
- Rapidly defeat combatants using Breech-Loaded Grenade Launchers anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for rapid final blows in Onslaught.
- Defeat combatants in raids or dungeons using Grenade Launchers.
Now, this isn’t the first time we have dealt with a Brave Grenade Launcher in Into the Light. Last week, we talked about how to complete The Mountaintop Grenade Launcher quest, and the objectives are pretty much the same. Therefore, the method will remain the same as well: use your Breech-Loaded Grenade Launcher of choice – in my case, it was the Witherhoard – in Mothyards to farm rapid kills. If you are wondering, Breech-Loaded Grenade Launchers are Grenade Launchers that use special ammo.
Play Onslaught on Mothyards
Picking Mothyards as your go-to map for the Forbearance quest is the way to go due to the number of enemies you will get to kill. The openness of the map will allow you to get more kills than on the other maps because it will naturally keep your fireteam from cannibalizing each other’s kills. Not only that, but you will also get to more accurately predict the direction and paths of the hordes of enemies that will try to destroy your ADU, which will enable you to shoot your Grenade Launcher toward them, even spamming it to continue generating AoE damage.
Keep looking for special ammo in the field and keep shooting from a vantage point. That’s the good thing about Mothyards as well: verticality. Since Grenade Launcher kills will take more time than others, be sure to pick the 50-Wave version of Onslaught so you have the most chances to rank up those kills. Once you amass the necessary kills, travel back to Arcite-99 in the Hall of Champions and collect your Forbearance.
