Farming Simulator 15 harvests a crop of screenshots

Giants Software have perhaps sown the seeds of success with these new screenshots from Farming Simulator 15. Which I suspect is the 2015 edition of Farming Simulator, rather than the 15th in the series.

Farming Simulator 15 sees you rise to the role of a farmer in the modern world. You’ll have to grow crops, sell produce, rear livestock, and develop your own massive farming complex in “two immense open worlds.” And now it’s got a Nordic setting, so that’s a Thing.

The game engine has been completely redone so everything looks lovely, and “physical-based rendering” means that all of the vehicles will look photo-realistic. Other than the aesthetics, you can expect new activities like logging, which will let you manage forested areas with new vehicles in order to make a bit of extra cash. And, naturally, all of these vehicles are officially licensed ones from Case IH, Deutz-Fahr, Lamborghini, New Holland, Ponsse, and more.

As if that’s not enough excitement, Farming Simulator 15 will also offer a full multiplayer mode for 15 players, either online or on a LAN. There’ll be full modding support, too.

Farming Simulator 15 is due out in October, and you can chew on grass and gaze at the screenshots below for some semblance of a farm experience.

When not writing about games, Tim can occasionally be found speedrunning terrible ones, making people angry in Dota 2, or playing something obscure and random. He's also weirdly proud of his status as (probably) the Isle of Man's only professional games journalist.
