Your character starts off fairly weak in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity. Granted, you’ll probably die a few times if you’re not careful. Thankfully, there are permanent perks that you can unlock. Once obtained, these will be active across all future runs. Here’s our Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity DLC guide to help you with the best Mirror skills and traits.

The best Mirror skills and traits in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity
All Mirror skills or traits in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity cost cash. Naturally, you’ll want to farm a lot of cash so you can unlock useful boosts. Anyway, there are five perk categories, and you need to grab an upgrade before you can obtain the next one in the column.
Pride traits – These perks are decent since they increase Vaas’ HP, though you’ll mostly see the benefits at higher difficulty levels once enemies hit like a truck:
- 2x Healing Syringes – Obtained by default. You’ll passively replenish only up to 2x Healing Syringes. If you have other perks that increase their quantity, then you need to pick up these items from chests or enemies.
- Increase health slightly.
- Increase health.
- Increase health moderately.
- Increase health significantly.
- Increase health greatly.
Greed traits – These options allow you to retain cash after dying. If you’re only playing on Mind Level 1 difficulty, then you can just get the first two perks and ignore the rest:
- Keep up to 500 cash.
- Keep up to 1,000 cash.
- Keep up to 3,000 cash.
- Keep up to 6,000 cash.
- Visit the last place you died to retrieve your full inventory – This is akin to a Souls-like mechanic. It’s very useful, but you’ll probably want it at higher difficulty levels only.
Vaas’ Wrath traits – These focus on takedowns. Almost all of these are very useful whether you’re playing aggressively or stealthily:
- Temporary speed boost after performing takedowns.
- Increase enemy detection time.
- Takedowns automatically reload your equipped weapon.
- Slightly heal after takedown kills.
- Enables takedowns on alerted enemies from the front – Extremely viable for higher difficulty modes, as you can rush foes with ease. Okay, well, maybe not the ghosts that spawn at night.
- Perform chain and sidearm takedowns on heavy enemies.
Sloth traits – These improve Vaas’ movement speed, exploration capabilities, and healing:
- Add +2 Healing Syringe capacity.
- Show silhouettes of tagged enemies behind cover.
- Gain access to the Wingsuit, Parachute, and Grapple – All are useful for exploration, though the Wingsuit can be risky if you bump into trees or obstacles.
- Move faster while crouched – This is great for stealthy takedowns.
- Add +2 Healing Syringe capacity.
- Quads (buggies) appear in safe areas like the Compound and Safe Houses.
- Add +2 Healing Syringe capacity.
Envy traits – These four traits add extra gadget sockets to your weapon wheel. I’ve marked down the ideal loadouts with asterisks (*):
- Gadget socket #1 (projectiles) – Throwing Axe*, Throwing Knife, Perception Grenade, and Smoke Grenade.
- Gadget socket #2 (explosive projectiles) – Frag Grenade*, Poison Grenade, Sticky Grenade, Molotov, and Dynamite.
- Gadget socket #3 (planted explosives) – Claymore*, Poison Proximity Grenade, Flame Proximity Charge, Proximity Explosive, and Fuel Canister.
- Gadget socket #4 (miscellaneous) – Pipe Bomb*, C4*, Flash Grenade, Healing Canister, and items from the other slots.
When you first unlock a slot by purchasing these Mirror traits in Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity, the gadget that you obtain will be random. You need to check a locker and go to the Refills tab to reroll if necessary. Also, assuming you have multiple sockets unlocked, the reroll cost is shared among all of these, and it gets higher the more you use the option. To reset the costs, you’ll have to save and quit the game while in a safe area. However, this will also reset your mission progress.
Far Cry 6 is available via Ubisoft’s store and the Epic Games Store.
