Far Cry 6 “The Mongoose and the Man” treasure hunt guide: How to get the Lethal Dose unique pistol
In the meeting with Clara Garcia and the other Libertad guerrillas in Zamok Archipelago, she’ll tell you to head to the Madrugada region first. Although some might head to other regions, there’s a good chance that you played the game the same way as I did and you just went to Madrugada.
If that’s the case, then the “Meet the Monteros” quest marker would take you to the town of Siniestra along the southwestern coast of the region. If you check one of the notices plastered on a post, you’ll receive “The Mongoose and the Man” treasure hunt.
Anyway, visit the house nearby. The gates are locked, but you can shoot the locks with your weapon. Inside, you’ll find various notes, as well as the chest. You can’t open it yet because you need the key.
Follow the clue which tells you to open the shed. Surprise! A mongoose pops out and starts running away. Your goal now is to kill it. Melee attacks will often miss because it’s too fast. So, just use your firearms (watch out just in case Yaran soldiers get alerted).
Once the mongoose is dead, you can pick up the key. Go ahead and open the chest to complete “The Mongoose and The Man” treasure hunt in Far Cry 6.
Here are the mods of the Lethal Dose unique pistol in Far Cry 6:
- Soft-Target Rounds – Deals heavy damage versus unarmored targets; weak against armored targets.
- Micro Reflex Sight – Short-range sight.
- Extended Mag – Increases magazine size.
- Reload All – Reloading this weapon reloads all other weapons.
Personally, I’m not too impressed by this weapon. There are certainly better standard options out there. What holds it back is that it’s got Soft-Target Rounds as a permanent mod. Once you start seeing enemies with helmets and body armor a few hours into Far Cry 6‘s campaign, you’ll never equip this unique weapon again.
Far Cry 6 is available via Ubisoft’s store and the Epic Games Store.
