Far Cry 6: How to get the Iron Curtain unique SMG in El Tigre Dormido Hotel

Far Cry 6 Yaran Contraband guide: How to get the Iron Curtain unique SMG in El Tigre Dormido Hotel

The El Tigre Dormido Hotel is found on a peninsula at the southeast portion of Cruz Del Salvador, Valle de Oro. The town of Segunda is the closest fast travel point, assuming you haven’t captured the other bases or checkpoints nearby. To be clear, though, there’s no need to go there immediately. That’s because an operation/main quest in Valle de Oro will take you there.

The name of the operation is “Balance the Books.” It’s given by a criminal mastermind named Bembe once you’ve done other main missions in the region. The goal here is to find the Russian brothers who will give you the additional information that Bembe could use. Sadly, by the time you get there, one of the brothers has already been killed and the surviving sibling is mourning his loss. If you head to the pier, you’ll find the Yaran Contraband chest down in the waters. Dive quickly and pick up the Iron Curtain unique SMG since there might be some predators lurking in the depths.

Here are the mods of the Iron Curtain unique SMG in Far Cry 6:

• Soft-Target Rounds – Heavy damage versus unarmored targets; weak versus armored targets.
• Basic Suppressor – Slightly reduces noise; slightly impairs range; very quick to overheat.
• Gunslinger – Improves draw and holster speed.
• Keep It Cool – Improves suppressor cooling rate.

SMGs aren’t in a good place right now in Far Cry 6, and the Iron Curtain won’t change that. The Soft-Target Rounds mod makes it useless for most elite soldiers and the Basic Suppressor tends to overheat before you can even empty a clip. Keep It Cool does improve the cooling rate, but, by then, an entire squad would’ve already heard your racket.
