Far Cry 6: How to get the One Ping Only unique rifle in The Lion’s Den

Into the jaws of the beast.

The nation of Yara is filled with countless armaments for warfare, including unique weapons. The One Ping Only is one such example, and it’s actually quite good. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you get the One Ping Only unique rifle in “The Lion’s Den” mission. The same mission also nets you the P226 pistol.

Far Cry 6 guide: How to get the One Ping Only unique rifle in “The Lion’s Den” mission

One Ping Only is a unique rifle in Far Cry 6 that’s only obtainable by progressing further in the story. By “further,” we mean “reach the closing stages of the game.” To do this, you’ll need to complete the operations/main missions in Yara’s three regions: Madrugada, Valle de Oro, and El Este.

Likewise, you have to finish important missions that take you to Esperanza or lead to an encounter with Anton Castillo and his cohorts. Examples include “Paradise Lost,” “Dead Drop,” and “Against the Wall” (which happens to give you the El Regalo de Clara unique pistol). After wrapping up with these objectives, you’ll receive “The Lion’s Den” mission.

“The Lion’s Den” operation entails saving a friend. You’ll go to an island north of Esperanza where Castillo’s villa is located. Dani won’t have access to most of her weaponry, Wingsuit, Supremo, and amigos. You also can’t get discovered or the mission would fail.

Thankfully, Dani is dressed as a Yaran officer to avoid detection (unless you get too close to enemies). Continue exploring until you can get the keycard from the guardhouse (seen above). This will open the gate to the villa.

The special forces patrolling here won’t be fooled by your disguise, so keep a low profile. Use the vines found at the manor’s front entrance to reach the rooftop and the inner courtyard. Once you enter a room on the second floor, a cinematic will play. I won’t spoil it here.

Anyway, if you take a look at your inventory during “The Lion’s Den” mission in Far Cry 6, you’ll notice that you have the P226 standard pistol and One Ping Only unique rifle. The latter has the following mods:

  • Armor-piercing rounds – Penetrates helmets and body armor.
  • Specter Sight – 2x mid-range sight.
  • Press Your Advantage – Improves weapon damage versus enemies at low health.
  • Gut Wrencher – Improves body shot weapon damage

Although the One Ping Only comes a bit late in Far Cry 6, it should still be one of the more viable weapon alternatives. Also, with “The Lion’s Den” finished, you can put an end to Anton Castillo’s regime in “The Battle of Esperanza” finale.
