Far Cry 6: How to get the Death Rites in Maldito

The nation of Yara is filled with countless armaments for warfare, including unique weapons. The Death Rites is one such example. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you get the Death Rites unique rifle from a Yaran Contraband chest in Maldito.

Far Cry 6 Yaran Contraband guide: How to get the Death Rites unique rifle in Maldito

The town of Maldito in Far Cry 6 is actually at the southeastern tip of the El Este region. Since it’s a town, it also acts as a fast travel point, but only once you’ve discovered it. Thankfully, an early main mission/operation in El Este called “The New Revolution” takes you close to the area.

Just make sure you complete the first few objectives (i.e., meet El Tigre, Jonron, and Yelena). You should then receive “The New Revolution” quest where you’ll ride a helicopter that does a fly-by over Maldito. This will make the fast travel point pop on your map.

Once you have time to go there, take a look at the burning house to find the Yaran Contraband chest with the Death Rites. It’s on a pile of charred corpses just to give you a hint as to how brutal Anton Castillo’s forces are.

Here are the mods of the Death Rites unique rifle in Far Cry 6:

• Armor-Piercing Rounds – Penetrates helmets and body armor.
• Compensator – Improves recoil in all four directions.
• Vampiric Triada – Chance to heal when the weapon deals damage.
• Headshot Supremo – Headshot kills grant extra Supremo energy.

Now we’re talking. The Death Rites is one of the more decent unique weapons in Far Cry 6. Armor-piercing Rounds is self-explanatory since you’ll want bullets that punch through helmets. Likewise, headshots mean you’ll gain more benefits with the Headshot Supremo mod. Vampiric Triada rounds out the perks here to help with survivability.
