More makeshift contraptions are available for the freedom fighters of Libertad. That’s because you can acquire Resolver weapons, homemade firearms with lots of quirky uses. Here’s our Far Cry 6 guide to help you with the best Resolver weapons for your arsenal.

Far Cry 6 guide: The best Resolver weapons
Before we continue, we have to answer this question: are Resolver weapons in Far Cry 6 worth your while? The short answer is no. I actually finished the campaign without bothering to use most of them. Instead, I simply relied on a few ideal weapons with great mods.
So, what exactly do these Resolver weapons entail? Well, the first one you’ll acquire is the Tostador. You’ll receive it after completing the Du or Die mission, similar to the requirement to obtain your first Supremo backpack. Unfortunately, the Tostador, a flamethrower, is only useful for a couple of early-game missions where you burn Viviro fields. You’ll hardly equip it to eliminate enemies for the rest of the campaign.
That being said, there are still some interesting Resolver weapons that you can grab by spending 100 depleted uranium. If you meet the level requirements, you can buy these from Juan Cortez’s workbench in Zamok Archipelago or from arms dealers in captured military bases. For mod upgrades, you’re going to need gunpowder and other materials.
El Susurro
This is basically a nailgun. It’s completely quiet and you can get a lot of stealthy kills with it. The only downside, at least compared to silenced weapons with armor-piercing rounds, is that it can sometimes take a few shots to take out a heavily armored soldier. Make sure you get all possible upgrades to turn it into an efficient killing machine.
La Sorpresa
This one gives your opponents quite a surprise. With mod upgrades like Short Fuse and Cluster Round, you can create lots of explosions. Keep the Timed Explosive mod or go with the Proximity Explosive option. It’s entirely up to you.
La Varita
This requires you to complete the “Triada Blessings” sidequest. It’s one of the strongest weapons in the game. Likewise, you can equip the Triador Supremo which will allow it to shoot through walls. Combining the two can lead to overpowered shenanigans, but they’re not mandatory to complete Far Cry 6‘s campaign.
Far Cry 6 is available via Ubisoft’s store and the Epic Games Store.
