Relic and new publishing buddies Sega have tapped out a press release in morse code, offering a few extra supplies for the troops who are most eager to visit the Eastern Front of Company of Heroes 2. In other words, it’s pre-order bonus time. Those players who’ve pre-ordered the game already gained access to a closed beta which launched earlier this month.
Ordering the game from those ever-popular “participating retailers” will get you a Theatre of War ‘mini-campaign’ for single player, as well as Winter Ambush and Voronezh Front skin packs for vehicle customisation. After all, you want to look your best while trying to win World War II.
In addition, pre-ordered versions of the game will get a pair of extra commanders for each army in multiplayer. On the Soviet side, this means the Anti-Infantry Tactics Doctrine (complete with flamethrower tank) and the Conscript Support Tactics Doctrine which is fairly self explanatory. Meanwhile, the Germans will have the Joint Operations Doctrine (for precise artillery strikes) and the Offensive Spearhead Doctrine which gives access to heavy armour and airstrikes.
Company of Heroes 2 is due in June. Here at IncGamers we’ve been duking it out in the closed beta, so look out for a preview around the middle of next week.
