New information on Capcom’s Exoprimal has arrived from an Exoprimal Showcase on July 10. This is an online team-based action game where you’ll be controlling cool mech suits while fighting dinosaurs. In this Exoprimal livestream, we learned more about the Seasons roadmap, the release dates, new Exosuits, a Monster Hunter collaboration, and more.
Exoprimal Seasons roadmap explained
From the release date on July 14 and beyond, there are four upcoming Seasons. Each season will be three months long, and fresh game content will consistently arrive. Exoprimal‘s Survival Pass is like most online Battle Passes. You have the choice of either a free Survival Pass, or you can pay for a Premium one. While there are plenty of rewards available with the free Survival Pass, the Premium one contains a lot more. Let’s explain more about the Exoprimal Seasons roadmap, its release dates, the new Exosuits, and the Monster Hunter collaboration.
Exoprimal Seasons Roadmap and release dates
Luckily, you don’t have to wait for Season 1 to begin, as it launches with the game itself on July 14. Two weeks after Season 1 begins, you can play the exclusive Savage Gauntlet mode on July 28. Capcom explains that the reasoning behind the two week wait is so that you can learn how to use your Exosuits in preparation for this event. This is a co-op mode where five-player squads face time-attack PvE scenarios. These challenging scenarios will rotate weekly.
Since each Season is three months long, we can expect Season 2 to arrive in October, Season 3 in January 2024, and Season 4 in April. For now, the Roadmap only details the first three seasons, with some information on upcoming modes and more. We’ll get more into the new Exosuits and collaborations, but what about Title Update 2 and 3?
We’ll know more about Title Update 2 and 3 further into Exoprimal‘s lifecycle, but for now, we know what the Roadmap says. During Title Update 2, Exoprimal will get a new map called Ocean Platform, alongside new rigs, modules, and a final mission. In Title Update 3, we’ll get Beta variant Exosuits, and a frightening new Neo Triceratops to battle.
Exoprimal‘s new Exosuits
During Season 1 and 3 of Exoprimal, we’ll receive Alpha variant Exosuits, and then six months later Beta variants. These are alternative Exosuit variants that will change the way they feel and play. Gameplay of the 10 Alpha variants was showcased during the livestream, and each one plays wildly different from the rest. We’ll have to wait a bit longer to see what the Beta variants will be like.
Exoprimal collaborations
Not only are we getting a Street Fight 6 collaboration, but even a Monster Hunter one! During Season 2, the Street Fighter 6 collaboration will commence. Then in Season 3, we’ll get the Monster Hunter collaboration. No other details as to what these collaborations will bring were discussed, so we’ll just have to patiently wait for more information.
Exoprimal is available on Game Pass and Steam.
