Who is Solomon Reed in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?

Solomon Reed is a secret agent who works in NUSA’s FIA, which is basically the CIA but, you know, futuristic. In the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty cinematic trailer, we see Solomon Reed get gunned down by Arasaka troopers and left for dead.

Some extra context to that clip, So Mi, aka Songbird, the woman in the NUSA ship, is an FIA recruit that Solomon Reed took under his wing. The two worked together and created a strong bond, but the soldiers that “kill” Solomon Reed are sent by So Mi.

In Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Solomon Reed is undercover as a sleeper agent. He’ll run into V and Johnny Silverhand, and we’ll see what happens between him and Songbird.

That’s all we know about Solomon Reed so far in Cyberpunk: 2077, but the developers have revealed that Idris Elba has produced and rapped on two new songs available through the in-game radios. The new Dark Star radio station will feature these two songs, and Idris Elba’s DJing will be featured in songs on the new Impulse radio station.

While Solomon Reed is no Johnny Silverhand, we can’t wait to hear the Idris Elba tracks on the radio. We also can’t wait to experience the story of Solomon Reed and how it’ll affect V and the general narrative of Cyberpunk 2077.
