Everspace Encounters expansion announced – New ship, weapons and more

Rockfish are back with more new content for their excellent rogue-like space shooter Everspace with Everspace Encounters.

This new expansion will add more than ten hours of new content which will include a new medium class fighter, the Colonial Sentinel. This new ship is quite different from the current ones as it comes with “electronic warfare capabilities” and double capacity shield. There are of course new weapons to enjoy including some weird green glob weapon and a kind of lightning weapon which you can see in the trailer below.

Everspace Encounters will also add factory space stations which will offer on-the-fly services, much like some of the ships in the current game. New enemies and new story characters will also be on-hand to provide new questlines.

A first for the series is the ability to drop by the Okkar homeworld which should be interesting, although what you so when you get there remains a mystery.

This is definitely a game you want to grab if you haven’t already, it’ss one of my favourite games of 2017. Everspace Encounters releases at the end of October so mark those diaries now.
