The Electronic Sports League launches the Avalon Heroes 2on2 Open Beta Cup from today, 19 January.
The third DoTA-like game Heroes of Avalon, with a distinct Asian feel, is having one of the biggest eSport leagues in the world organising their Open Beta Cup.
This new Beta Cup has “fantastic prizes” for the best players, “such as exclusive item sets or even additional heroes that they can use when the game is officially released following the Open Beta phase.”
Avalon Heroes is unique among the others in this new genre, League of Legends (released) and Heroes of Newerth (still in closed beta), due to the art style and the massive amount of heroes a player can pick from – well over a hundred. The primary goal of the 2on2 Cup is to check the rules and settings for future eSports tournaments.
The game entered open beta a few days ago, and receive a higher experience gain to allow players to try out end game as well as the early game.
We will be taking a look at this game in the near future, so keep us bookmarked if Heroes of Avalon appeals to you.
