Sega has announced the multiplayer co-op campaign for Empire: Total War has landed. You can access the the free Campaign Multiplayer Beta (which is what they’re calling it) by signing up to the Beta Program, and this will let you play one vs one multiplayer games. In addition to this you can expect some DLC elements too with the Elite Units of America. This will see 15 new elite units to the American, British and French factions added to the game. You can use the Elite Units of America pack in multiplayer and in single player battle modes. This will cost you £1.99 GBP or $2.99 USD, and you can pick it up from Steam right here, and you can also learn a little more about each of the new units. We loved Empire: Total War when we reviewed it and is one of our favourite RTS franchises. The addition of sea battles may have swung the balance for us a little, but we’d like to see more DLC to support naval combat.
