The reassuring tones of William Shatner will soon be available in HCS Voicepack form for Elite: Dangerous. Shatner has voiced “over 1,300” phrases for the ‘Orion’ pack, which will be released on 8 April for £10 GBP (you’ll also need to own the required VoiceAttack software).

As well as in-cockpit chat about Silent Running and other in-flight features, the Orion pack includes a special Nebula Tour; a little of which can be heard in the trailer below.

Those who pre-order this Elite: Dangerous voice pack will be entered into a contest draw to win signed photos of Shatner, artwork signed by the Frontier team, and a signed copy of William Shatner’s Leonard book.

Here’s the Nebula trailer mentioned above, followed by a bit of behind the scenes recording footage.
