Publisher Bethesda has revealed its next title in the Elder Scrolls franchise will boast a brand new engine, developed in-house.
Writing on his Twitter page, Bethesda community manager Nick Breckon revealed the news.
Breckon wrote: “We can now confirm that the TES V: Skyrim engine is all-new. And it looks fantastic.”
The game was previously thought to be using the id Tech 5 engine, after the firm decided not to use the Gamebryo engine that has been used in the series since Elder Scrolls III: Morrowmind.
