Once you reach this location, you’ll be above Castle Ensis and your next job is to drop down onto the roof. Make sure you drop down on the right side of the Castle, since the left side isn’t connected to where the Carian Sorcery Sword is located and you’ll have to repeat the process.

Before dropping down, make sure you’re at the correct spot by checking out the image above. The red arrow shows the location of the Carian Sorcery Sword.

Carian Sorcery Sword Weapon Skill: Impaling Thrust

The Carian Sorcery Sword comes equipped with the Impaling Thrust Weapon Skill. Impaling Thrust allows the player to lunge forward with a long thrust, making it possible to pierce the enemy’s guard.

Not only does it come with a great weapon skill, but the Carian Sorcery Sword also acts as a catalyst for Glinstone Sorcery when executing strong attacks. In other words, you can use this weapon as a staff, and removes the need to equip one in your offhand.

Carian Sorcery Sword upgrade materials

The Carian Sorcery Sword requires Somber Smithing Stones to be upgraded. While you can find these stones scattered across the Lands Between and the Land of Shadow, the easiest way to acquire a ton is by finding Bell Bearings.

When you turn in the correct Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold, you’ll be able to purchase Somber Smithing Stones instead of having to find them. Just be sure you have enough Runes.
