Elden Ring Liftside Chamber Door Stormveil Castle

Elden Ring: How to open the Liftside Chamber door in Stormveil Castle

Hey, it's me! Open up!

As you near the end of Stormveil Castle, you’ll stumble upon a Site of Grace called the Liftside Chamber. Here’s the odd part: the door at the back is locked, and there seems to be no way to open it normally. Well, fear not, since there’s always a solution. Here’s our Elden Ring guide to help you open the Liftside Chamber door in Stormveil Castle.

Elden Ring guide – How to open the Liftside Chamber door in Stormveil Castle

To open the Liftside Chamber door in Elden Ring, we’ll need to ride the elevator there or use the Secluded Cells bonfire to reach the area with Living Jars (i.e., it’s also where you found Ashes of War: Stormcaller). Take a look at the opposite wall and you should see some ledges. Jump on these to reach the opening.

Inside, you’ll fight some Commoner mobs and pick up some loot along the way. When you exit this room, there’s a sign where an NPC says that “what you seek is somewhere close by.”

You can go ahead and use the cliffside ledges to make it across the gap.

In the next section, you should be able to open the Liftside Chamber door in Elden Ring. But, you’re not done yet.

Look below you to see stone sections that are jutting out. You can use these to jump on wooden platforms all the way to the bottom.

Down below is a garden area that’s filled with rats. You can grab the Rancorcall Sorcery spell here.

Continue further and you should be able to jump down a darkened area that looks like a dried-up riverbed.

Make sure you’re prepared because an Ulcerated Tree Spirit will spawn here. To be fair, the one that you’ll fight later on in Mount Gelmir can be cheesed. This one, as well as the beast in Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, will be tougher, especially at lower levels. Watch out for its coil attacks and smashes, and be sure to avoid its deadly explosions.

After beating the miniboss, you can pick up a Golden Seed and Stonesword Key.

Next up, you’ll spot a curious-looking thing on the ground. It seems that a large creature’s face has melted. There’s also a bloodstain here from the helpful NPC from earlier. It looks like the poor adventurer met an untimely end. I did try hitting the “face,” but nothing happened. I’m not sure if there’s supposed to be another encounter here.

You may also pick up the Prince of Death’s Pustule. It’s a talisman that raises vitality.

Climb up the tall ladder until you reach the top. You’ll be able to jump down to another section of the keep. Use the Stonesword Key to open the mist-covered Imp Dungeon (if you haven’t yet). This room has Exile enemies, as well as a couple of equipment.

Well, that about does it. You’ve opened the Liftside Chamber door in Elden Ring and you also reached another secret area. If you haven’t done it yet, make sure to take out Godrick the Grafted, this Legacy Dungeon’s main boss.

If you want to see how the whole thing is done, you can watch the video below from The Outerhaven. Big thanks to Keith Dwayne Mitchell, too!
