Besides making an appearance as one of EA’s playable characters in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, Faith Connors has been all but absent from the gaming scene. There was previous buzz that a new Mirror’s Edge game was in the works, but of course, more details have surfaced in the face of E3 2014.

Here you will see the developers discuss what route they are taking with the game. It also looks as though the game will continue to run on the Frostbite Engine as well as being developed by DICE.

Mirror’s Edge previously released in 2008. The game was first released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a PC release the following year. With the current generation of hardware, there is no doubt that it will provide yet another feast for the eyes and hopefully bridge performance gaps from the original. We may learn more about the origins of Faith, and her iconic blackened eye tattoo.
