Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon to flutter onto PC

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon will be released for the PC “this holiday season”, along with some DLC weapon packs. The game is a follow-up of sorts (albeit one by a different developer) to Earth Defense Force 2017, which gained quite a following on the Xbox 360.
As the name suggests, you’re tasked with defending earth against a storm of insects (kind of like how I defend the back door of my apartment against the same thing). What the name doesn’t suggest is that it’s a rapid-firing, third person shoot-a-thon against overwhelming odds, that can be played in offline or online co-op (as well as in single player).
