In addition to the already-announced Command & Conquer Generals 2, EA has now revealed that it is to publish Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances; a free to play MMO with an emphasis on connecting from mobile devices. Not exactly what the long-standing C&C fans would’ve asked for, I’d imagine.
Still, that’s what this is. Apparently the title will allow players to “experience C&C in a brand new way” and will be powered by HTML 5 technology. That means we’re talking browser-based strategy gaming, and explains why developer Phenomic is calling it “one of the first truly portable mmo strategy titles”.
