EA explains prices on Xbox One game demos were a technical error

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

EA’s Xbox One game demos for FIFA and 14 and EA Sports UFC mysteriously came up with prices on the Xbox Live Marketplace around the world. In a few hours, EA explained that it was a simple error, and this error has been fixed.

This is the official statement from EA UK:

The price associated with the FIFA 14 and EA SPORTS UFC demos was due to a technical error. Both demos have now been fixed in the Microsoft store.

Evidence was that these prices popped up for both Australia and UK. While it would be believable if it only happened in one region, having it come up in two seems like a pretty glaring red flag. Perhaps EA should provide further explanation on why prices would even come up on the demos in the first place.
