As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition will be making its way to PCs everywhere. Back then, the release date was just “May,” but with the precision of a deadly blade being swung through the midriffs of five hundred men that date has been narrowed down to 13 May.
Some minimum PC specs have been released as well, and they really are very minimum. I’m fairly sure the PC I was using two before this one would have been able to run the game with these demands. A few “recommended” options are thrown in as well, and given that the processor ranges from “2.4Ghz Core2Due” to “i7 860” that suggests a fair spread of in-game options to mess about with.
It’s not really clear what those will be (draw distances and number of enemies on screen would be nice,) though Tecmo Koei’s Yasutomo Watanabe has this to say on the matter.
We feel that this is a very fitting platform for tactical action titles and believe that it will satisfy our fans as well as allow them to enjoy hours of gameplay with enhanced graphics and higher frame rates.
Anywhere, here’s what Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition will run on.
Operating system Windows Vista/7/8/8.1
CPU: Core2Duo 2.4GHz or more (i7 860 or more recommended)
Memory : 512MB of RAM or more (1GB or more recommended)
Recommended Display : 1280X720 pixels or True Color display (can display 16:9)
Hard drive space: 18GB
Video card : VRAM256MB or more (512MB or more recommended)
3D acceleration corresponding to pixel shader 3.0 and above
DirectX9.0c
Game Pad compatible
Hopefully that 720p “recommendation” isn’t the extent of the resolution options that will be on offer.
