Dying Light’s latest trailer tests your survival skills

It’s interactive trailer time, with Dying Light‘s latest video seeking to test your survival skills.

Technically, this is a 25-minute trailer, making it even longer than the playthrough I recorded a few days ago. Of course, you’ll likely only see half of the actual footage in this video – you’ll get a choice between two options (on a surprisingly regular basis), and whichever one you pick determines how your video continues on. Do you run through the building or climb onto the roof? Do you ignore the zombie or dropkick it in the face? Etc.

From what I’ve watched of it (sorry, I didn’t want to watch the entire thing before telling you about it) it shows off some gameplay from the perspective of a character who’s been playing for awhile. I mean, I didn’t have grappling or dropkicks by the time I’d finished the preview code, although those at least weren’t particularly high-level abilities.

Dying Light is due out on 27 January. Check out the interactive trailer below to get a rather polished glimpse at how it looks, or click the links earlier in this piece to see my early opinions on the game, and some footage of me being a lot less accomplished at playing it.
