Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties guide – How to get and equip cosmetic DLC outfits
The clothing you obtain in Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties can be divided into two types: regular armor pieces and cosmetic outfits. You’ll notice several of these being sold by the Carnage Hall vendor NPC, with more becoming available as you complete challenges and increase your fame ranking. Most will cost you Carnage Tokens, which you can earn by replaying the activities that you finished beforehand.
In any case, regular armor pieces (i.e., helmets, chestpieces, boots, and the like) can be equipped directly from your inventory. However, cosmetic outfits require you to check Aiden’s stash (i.e., the duffel bags in safe houses).
Check the Extras tab and scroll down to find the outfits that you’ve unlocked or purchase. Then, click on the one you want so that it’s activated. You can then toggle it on or off by pressing the “X” key in the inventory screen.
The cosmetic outfits in Dying Light 2 don’t provide any stat boosts. Instead, they merely change your character’s look, akin to a transmogrification feature.
Still, do take note that an outfit will alter or replace the look of all equipped pieces, not just one. As such, if you find a cool-looking helmet, it can’t be shown on its own if a cosmetic outfit is enabled for the rest of your gear.
