Dying Light 2 Bandit Camps Guide

Dying Light 2: Bandit Camps guide

Beat up a bunch of baddies.

Bandit Camps can be discovered as you progress further in Dying Light 2. There are almost two dozen Renegades in these areas, and they’re out for blood. Should you manage to clear the area, you can pick up a lot of loot, and it’s also handed over to the faction that controls the region. Here’s our Dying Light 2 guide to help you with Renegade Bandit Camps.

Jack & Joe’s Camp

  • Location: Horseshoe (north)
  • Recommended Level: 1

The first time you’re tasked with attacking a Bandit Camp in Dying Light 2 is during a mission called The Raid. Sophie, one of the Survivors in The Bazaar, tasks you with eliminating Renegades in Jack & Joe’s Camp. She asks you to use your binoculars to scout the area. Doing so would show the enemies, as well as the various entry points.

The goals in each and every Bandit Camp in Dying Light 2 are simple. First, you have to kill the two lieutenants and the gang leader.

These guys are often surrounded by their cronies, so you’ll probably lay waste to everyone in the vicinity.

Once your key targets are dead, you can interact with the spiked flag tower by mashing the “F” key. Before you do this, though, make sure that you’ve picked up the loot that’s left in the area. You’re warned that all the loot will disappear once the base has been captured.

Although some item drops might be left lying around after you capture the base, I wouldn’t really risk it. Certain sections get renovated or demolished, and the containers there would also disappear. In any case, let’s discuss the other Bandit Camps in Dying Light 2.

Downtown Thugs

  • Location: Downtown (east)
  • Recommended Level: 3

I was genuinely surprised when I accidentally entered this area. I believe I was around level 6 by then, just gliding around while looking for Inhibitor Containers and Military Airdrops. I ended up landing on one of the scaffoldings, rushing past the hostiles before deciding to fight them while camping a stairwell.

Garrison Heights

  • Location: Garrison (southwest)
  • Recommended Level: 4

This one offers a scenic view of your surroundings. There are two pulley lifts that take you to the rooftop of the skyscraper. There, you’ll fight the lieutenants and the gang leader. Don’t try to use the Paraglider here (you’d fall if you get shot).

Heron Renegados

  • Location: Lower Dam Ayre (southeast)
  • Recommended Level: 6

This one is further southeast and it has several leveled mobs. However, I didn’t find a lot of issues. I had the PK Crossbow by then, so I just peppered everyone with bolts.

Note: Clearing all Bandit Camps in Dying Light 2 nets you the “Ban Hammer” achievement.
