Trendy Entertainment has revealed Dungeon Defenders – a tower defence meets action RPG hybrid that seeks to “create a seamless mix of leveling, looting and high-action territorial combat.”
Apparently, some legendary heroes from Eternia are away on business and have left their young children in charge of the castle while they’re gone. As if to confirm what a poor parenting decision this was, the kiddies quickly unleash an ancient force (by accident, of course) that threatens the realm.
We can expect up to four-player local or online multiplayer action, with four distinct character classes. Levelling and customisation will be available for said characters, adding some depth to the traditional tower defence gameplay. Dungeon Defenders will be heading to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this autumn.
