Duke Nukem Forever makes a profit

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Despite poor reviews Mr Nukem brings home the bacon. More games planned?
Speaking in a post-financial results conference call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said: “Despite its disappointing reviews, Duke Nukem Forever was profitable for Take-Two.”
This follows an interview in June during which Zelnick told Forbes that: “”You will see another Duke IP from this company.” However, he added that could mean bringing “it to another medium in an extraordinary high quality way” so, a new videogame may not be what Take-Two are thinking. A movie, perhaps?
Duke Nukem Forever’s profitability comes in the face of generally poor review scores. The IncGamers review, penned by Tim McDonald,  stated: “the synthesis between old-school PC shooter and modern console shooter has resulted in a hideous chimera that rarely works as either.”
