Once you get to Vernworth in Dragon’s Dogma 2 you’ll probably have the urge to climb the many buildings you see around you. Well, the good news is you should definitely do that to find all the hidden loot available in the city.
All Vernworth chest locations in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Before the hunt for the chests begins, here’s some quick advice. First, make sure your weight is Average or less to ensure you’re speedy enough to comfortably make certain jumps. Also, make sure to either save often or have a Wakestone at the ready in case a jump goes badly.
Chest #1 – Vernworth Vocation Guild
The first chest is located at the Vernworth Vocation Guild right behind the main counter. Just hop over the table and open the chest up. Weirdly, the owner doesn’t seem to be too upset with this at all.
Chest #2 – Above Roderick’s Smithy
This chest requires you to climb up the ladders and scaffolding above Bjorn’s Armory and Roderick’s Smithy. Be careful to not slide off any of the roofs up here because you’ll likely die. Stick to the flat boards and walk around until you see the chest on top of the archway connecting the building together.
Chest #3 – Balcony 1
If you look to the northwest from chest #2 you should spot this Vernworth chest pretty easily. Once again you’ll need to clamber around the balconies and ladders to get to this one but it’s not too tricky to reach.
Chest #4 – The Guardhouse
From chest #3, turn around and head for the Guardhouse directly ahead. It’s the building with the staircase outside going up to the second floor. You’ll find the chest at the back of the room past all the tables.
Chest #5 – Small house
We’re using the map for this one because this chest is in an oddly unremarkable location. Around the marked point in the city, you’ll see a stone archway that leads into an alley. Climb on top of this archway and look into the open window of the nearby house to find the fifth chest.
Chest #6 – Common Quarter tower
In the Common Quarter, you’ll find a tower that has an entrance at the bottom. Simply follow the staircase all the way up and you’ll find the sixth chest. As a bonus, there’s a decent vantage point of this portion of the city.
Chest #7 – Balcony 2
From the tower, exit the top from the north side and jump onto the platform below. Then look to the right and head for the ladder. Climb up then run to edge straight ahead and look to the left to find the next chest on the balcony below.
Chest #8 – The Stardrop Inn
This chest is located in a room behind the bar counter. The easiest way to get in here is to exit the Inn, walk around to the back, and enter the door found there. This will immediately take into the room with the chest.
Chest #9 – Balcony 3
From the back entrance of the Inn head outside and look up to see another balcony. There’s a ladder to the right that will take you part of the way and then you’ll need to jump to the balcony. From there just follow the path along to find the ninth chest.
This chest has a Ferrystone in it which is an invaluable tool for fast travel. Be warned that this is probably the trickiest chest to get in Vernworth in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Chest #10 – Watchhead’s Home
The next chest is found in the Watchhead’s Home in the Noble District of Vernworth. Simply head to the back of the building to find the chest in the kitchen. It’s worth investigating the rest of this building as you can find courtly attire and a Jasper hidden in one of the rooms.
Chest #11 – Comptroller’s Home
Head over to the Comptroller’s Home in the Noble District which is to the west of the Watchhead’s Home. Check the locations on the map for the names of these buildings. When in the building, find the stairs and go up and enter the second room on the left. The black chest will be located in the corner of the room.
Chest #12 – Klark’s Estate
Enter the building directly opposite the Comptroller’s Home called Klark’s Estate. Once inside go up the stairs to the second floor and exit onto the balcony. You’ll find the next chest on this balcony in the corner. This is a good one since it has gold and silver ore inside.
Chest #13 – Patrick’s Estate
Just like with Klark’s Estate, you’ll want to head into the building and walk up the stairs. Look for the door that leads to the balcony and walk along it to find the chest at the end. This chest contains a Panacea which can save you in a moment of need. So make sure you use this item sparingly for a fight that needs it.
Chest #14 – Small house beside Allard’s Estate
This Vernworth chest is located right next to Allard’s Estate in a small building to the east. Once inside look to the left immediately and you’ll see the chest. There’s nothing too special in this one just a few dried foods. But if you need a snack for a journey there’s no harm in grabbing this one.
