The fact we never got Hercule, aka Mr. Satan, is a crime
A quick thing to make a Dragon Ball FighterZ 2 better is to include every character from the first game right away. All of these characters are so familiar and loved by fans and players, it just doesn’t make sense to make a new game and not have someone’s favorite character included. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has already set the bar for “everyone is here,” and other fighting games would be wise to follow its path.
It’s always a drag when your favorite character from a previous entry in a series doesn’t show up in a sequel. Considering the potential for a sequel to Dragon Ball FighterZ, there is no reason to not have everyone available right out of the box. Which feeds into the second reason I bring this up. Whatever new characters get added to the game need to be wild. The end of a game’s life cycle is when we usually see more unique characters show up. The first game did this with characters like Master Roshi, Super Baby 2, and SS4 Gogeta. Dragon Ball FighterZ 2 needs to start bringing us the weirdos right away. I’m talking characters like Tao Pai Pai, Bulma in a mech suit, Android 13, and, for the love of Kami, have Hercule in it.
One of the loudest, and most justified, complaints of the first game was the oversaturation of Gokus, Vegetas, and fusions of the two. Now that we have them out of the way, let’s have some fun and embrace the craziness that Dragon Ball can offer. It took way too long for such an important character like Master Roshi to be added to the game. These kinds of mistakes don’t need to happen again.
