Pull rates and Gacha
This is all to say that, while not as bad as something like Genshin Impact, the pull rates for the game are absolutely horrible. This is made even worse by the fact that there are 17 legendary cards and 38 super rare cards in the game currently. This means that it is functionally impossible to get a lot of super rare and legendary cards without spending money to buy premium coins. However, premium coins are unavailable for purchase currently in the game. For the time being, players will be forced to play F2P in a system that is not designed for it.
There are “card points” which you can get by dismantling other cards that let you get whatever individual card you want, similar to souls in Teppen. Super rares can cost anywhere from 1000 to 1500 to craft, and legendaries anywhere from 3000 to 4500. Unfortunately you only get 200 card points for dismantling a super rare, and 700 for dismantling a legendary. Dismantling a rare gets you a measly 40, and normal cards cannot be dismantled at all. It doesn’t take long to do the math to see that getting rare cards in Dragon Ball Card Warriors is rough even by other Gacha game standards.
There are missions you can complete by just playing the game, as well as a daily login bonus. The good news is that completing tasks in the main game does get you rewards. If you have already beaten Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, there will be a plethora of rewards waiting for you, but they will run out fairly quick if you want to build a legitimately good deck.
Lastly, our overall thoughts on Dragon Ball Card Warriors.
