It’s taken four months, but Dragon Age: Inquisition players who use a mouse with more than two buttons on it will finally be able to remap commands to those other buttons. At least, that’s according to the notes on the game’s sixth patch.
I’m not sure whether Patch 6 is actually released yet, as I don’t own the game. Normally I rely on somebody over at the BioWare Dragon Age: Inquisition PC thread mentioning that it’s available, but nobody has yet. Reddit suggests that the patch is out on PS4, so I’d imagine the PC one won’t be far behind.
There’s still no sign of the Black Emporium in this release. I’m not sure what’s going on with that.
As mentioned though, there are at least some tweaks to mouse functionality. As well as the additional button support, mouse look toggle should cause fewer problems now: “Fixed issue that caused abilities to not be usable in tactical mode when using mouse look toggle. / Fixed issue that caused mouse look toggle to turn off during looting.”
Apparently the issue with the in-game journal behaving in “unexpected ways when expanding categories with the mouse” has been addressed too. As has, um, the inability to resurrect people who’d died in deep water.
For the full list of changes to Dragon Age: Inquisition in Patch 6, here’s the BioWare blog post again.
Update: Apparently some DLC called “Jaws of Hakkon” is also being released tomorrow. I’d normally do a separate post for this, but it seems to just have a name and not much else at present.
