Dragon Age getting multiplayer, Dead Space FPS [Rumour]

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

I love rumours. They’re big and brash, often misinformed and almost always a let-down, but somewhere deep down under their mysterous skin there’s an element of truth (usually).
Today’s rumour mill (courtesy of Kotaku) has churned up a ton of EA related goodness. Firstly, the Dragon Age series is going to be getting an arena-based multiplayer component that will allow you to play as a dragon. Yeah… WTF, right?
Development is being carried out on DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine (that used for Battlefield 3 and Need for Speed: The Run) and it will include both PvP and PvE. As yet, we’re unsure whether this mode will be incorporated into Dragon Age 3 or whether it will be a standalone product.
In addition, EA are supposedly also looking to diversify the Dead Space franchise, with a spaceship flight combat game and an FPS on the agenda. Not only that, but an action/adventure game dubbed “Uncharted in space” is (if these rumours are to believed) already in the early stages of design and development.
Dead Space 3’s development is moving ahead as expected, and is set of the ice planet of Tau Volantis. Reports suggest that things will be a lot brighter this time around, with dark corners and foreboding corridors replaced with blinding white light reflected from the snow and ice.
Remember: these are just rumours, none of the above is an official announcement.
