Dragon Age 3 taking ideas from Skyrim

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Dragon Age 3 hasn’t been officially anounced yet, but BioWare are already talking about it. Co-founder of the RPG developer Dr. Ray Muzyka has spoken about how Dragon Age 3 will be taking cues from other successful RPGs, especially Skyrim.
“[The next Dragon Age] is gonna have the best features from the prior Dragon Age games,” Muzyka told Wired, “but it’s also gonna have a lot of things I think players are gonna find compelling from some of the games that are out now that are doing really well with more of an open world feel.
“We’re checking [Skyrim] out aggressively. We like it. We’re big admirers of [Bethesda] and the product,” Muzyka said. “We think we can do some wonderful things.”
Just which cues Dragon Age could possibly take from Skyrim is a different one to work out, given that one has traditionally focused on a linear narrative and the other an open ended approach.
