Dragon Age 2 Demo Confirmed For 22 February

This article is over 13 years old and may contain outdated information

Following yesterday’s leakage of a very official looking portion of the Dragon Age 2 website which featured details of a forthcoming demo, EA has confirmed the facts.
The leaked page was intended for the eyes of GameStop employees and pre-order customers, who would be able to input a code and grab the demo slightly before the general public (who, the same page stated, would get it on 23 February.)
In a spectacular piece of PR genius, BioWare’s David Gaider labelled this page on the official Dragon Age 2 website as both “speculation” and “misleading.” This was followed quite swiftly by EA confirming that everything concerning the demo was accurate, except the precise release date which is now one day earlier on 22 February.
Now, a new but equally official page has been put up on the official Dragon Age 2 site, with further details of said demo: “players will venture through the game’s prologue, choosing from three different character classes. They’ll also learn more about Hawke and hone their skills and abilities that will make them the ultimate hero. After finishing the prologue, players will enter a key new location in the world of Dragon Age, Kirkwall, befriending Isabela, a romantic interest in the game who is also a deadly smuggler.”
It is also noted that those who complete the demo will unlock an item for the full game, ‘Hayder’s Razor’ an ancient dwarven blade.
