I firmly believe that the name Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist has been specifically designed to mischievously fuck with website headlines. Anything that messes with the tyrannical grip of SEO is fine by me, so well done to developers Crows Crows Crows (also an excellent name).
Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist (much like Barkley Shut Up & Jam: Gaiden, Chapter One of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa I think it deserves spelling out in full), is a 15 minute game directed by one half of The Stanley Parable duo. The William Pugh half. Not the Davey Wreden half (he just released The Beginner’s Guide).
It’s also entirely free and you can get it here, on Steam.
It looks similar-ish to The Stanley Parable, in the sense that it has entertaining narration (this time by Simon Amstell), and seems utterly ludicrous. In the trailer, Amstell is giving you convoluted instructions for a heist. Meanwhile, in the Steam description, workers are breaking the fourth wall and threatening to go on strike.
Things in Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist have at least a 83.4% chance of getting very meta.
