Ankama Games has announced that a huge update for its popular MMO, Dofus, will go live in December, enhancing the game’s graphics engine and several other significant features.Dofus is one of the world’s top five online games, with around 25 million players. The flash-based tactical MMORPG was released in September 2004. After several updates over the past five years, it is available in seven languages and continues to draw in the crowds at events such as the recent PAX in Seattle.The next update for the game, known as Dofus 2.0, will change the face of the title drastically. The update is the most significant change that has been made to the game, ever. The server and client code, along with the graphic engine, have been completely re-written.This version will be available to download from 2 December but, in the meantime, a closed beta test will be available for selected players from next month.
