New Game Plus is a fun way to return to your favorite game without losing most of your unlocked items, but does Hogwarts Legacy have this feature?
Now that it’s been enough time since it first launched, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this as a feature. We’ll answer whether or not Hogwarts Legacy has a New Game Plus mode.
Will Hogwarts Legacy get a New Game Plus mode?
Although this Harry Potter game is nearly a year old at the time of writing this, it unfortunately does not have New Game Plus. There has been no news on any future content updates, DLCs, or even New Game Plus. But on the bright side, that doesn’t mean there’s no potential in the future for this to arrive.
With its recent release on the Nintendo Switch, perhaps now that Avalanche Software is done working on that, it’ll focus its attention on a New Game Plus update. Players have been asking for this kind of update since the beginning of its launch, and you can still find posts online of fans asking for this feature.
In this Reddit post written in October, players continued to discuss the fact that Hogwarts Legacy needs to add New Game Plus sooner than later. In this game mode, players would presumably keep things like unlocked outfits, spells, and maybe even the Room of Requirement. The only difference is that you’d be able to redo the main story and side quests all over again.

The player in this post explained that they’d enjoy replaying it, but since they 100% completed the game they don’t want to go through unlocking all those things again. It’s understandable, since that’s the appeal of having a New Game Plus mode. Hopefully in the near future Avalanche Software will announce this as a new feature.
