You can’t make an Indiana Jones game without Harrison Ford. While Machine Games is using Harrison Ford’s likeness for Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, who will voice Indiana Jones himself?
Who voices Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle?
As revealed by The Game Awards themselves, who are as credit a source as any when it comes to video game news, Indiana Jones is being voiced by Troy Baker in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
It’s not a huge surprise that Troy Baker is voicing Indiana Jones in the upcoming game. If you don’t know, Troy Baker lends his voice to just about every game you love. He’s Joel in The Last of Us, Sam in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Booker DeWitt in Bioshock Infinite. He’s in Diablo 4, God of War Ragnarok, Fortnire, and so much more.
While Troy Baker is in just about every video game, it is because he’s an incredible voice actor. Listen to the gameplay and cinematic footage of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for yourself and tell me that doesn’t sound like Harrison Ford himself. Sure, it’s a little off, but to me, it sounds really close.
It would’ve been incredible to have Harrison Ford himself do the voice acting of Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but he is 81 years old. He did the voice acting for Han Solo in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2016, but besides that, Harrison Ford hasn’t contributed his voice to many video games. Getting him on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would’ve been the cherry on top, but I think Troy Baker is going to kill it.
Are you excited for the globe-trotting adventure that is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle or does the fact that Harrison Ford isn’t in it ruin it for you? I’m excited and can’t wait to learn more.
