There are many survival crafting games similar to Enshrouded that feature PvP and defensive PvE. But, does Enshrouded have PvP and defensive PvE? Let’s find out.
Does Enshrouded have PvP?
Enshrouded doesn’t have PvP. While I don’t love PvP in survival crafting games (I think it’s extremely stressful to spend countless hours building up a character and a base only to have it all washed away to a failed enemy raid), I do think that it is a bummer that Enshrouded doesn’t have PvP for people looking for that experience.
The good news about this and the status of creative mode is that Enshrouded is still in early access. This means that, in the future, Keen Games could bring PvP into Enshrouded. It’s my opinion that not integrating PvP into the main gameplay of Enshrouded is a good thing, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy a separate PvP mode in the game.
Does Enshrouded have any defense PvE gameplay?
While Enshrouded doesn’t have PvP, another question you might be asking is if we need to defend our bases in PvE. The answer is no, Enshrouded doesn’t have any base defense mechanics in PvE. In other words, enemy NPCs won’t ever attack your base, making you have to defend it.
Other survival crafting games feature PvE defense gameplay where you need to constantly be wary of enemy NPCs coming to your base and destroying everything. Luckily in Enshrouded, that isn’t an issue.
One, you can’t place a Flame Altar, the cornerpiece needed to start building in an area, too close to enemies. Two, enemies aren’t programmed to run into your base and destroy stuff. That doesn’t mean enemies won’t run into your base and attack you (that has happened with me and a few nearby wolves once or twice).
So, Enshrouded doesn’t have PvP or any PvE defense gameplay, but it does have a lot of other incredible features. Enshrouded features a day and night cycle and it’s easy to get lost or killed at night. To avoid the night entirely, you need to know how to make a bed.
